BC «Lokomotiv-Kuban» has played the аштфд match at the Cyprus session. Krasnodarians played again with «Apollon» (Limassol). The match ended in a draw — 82:82 (23:28,29:18,11:17,19:19). The coaches mutually decided to stop the game and not to define a winner.
Owens, Gist and Krivosheev didn’t play because of small injuries. In absence of these basketballers the playing load was distributed evenly among remained 10 basketballers. «Apollon» didn’t sustain losses and held the match in the same composition as three days ago.
The first half of the game was Cypriots’. In spite of the defeat in the start quarter, the hosts played in attack successfully in the second period, made a powerful burst and got the advantage of six points — 52:46. After the break our team arranged actions in defense and managed to equalize the score in the third ten minute. Exciting finish could not define a winner in spite of all the opponents’ efforts.
The top performer was Green (15 points), 11 points are on Dubovitskiy credit, 9 points are Morgunov’s. Surovtsev, Savenkov and Shukhovtsov gained 8 points everyone.
Coach staff let the team have a rest on March, 9. On the 10-th of March the team is leaving for Krasnodar and will continue its training for the game with CSKA. It’s expected that all the injured players will be rehabilitated and get ready for the match with the Moscow team.
