An alumnus of the CSKA system, he played for Volgograd’s Aquarius, Tula’s Arsenal, Dynamo Moscow Region, UNICS, and CSKA, with whom he won three Russian championships. He also played in the 2001 EuroBasket, where the Russian national team finished fifth. He retired from playing with Spartak St. Petersburg in 2011 and soon became an assistant coach at the same club.

From 2014 to 2023, he was on the CSKA coaching staff, winning the Euroleague twice and the VTB United League six times. He also coached the Russian U16 (2013-14) and U20 (2018-19) national teams. He began working as a head coach at club level in 2023, taking charge of Zenit-2 and leading the team to the Superliga semifinals. He spent the previous season at CSKA-2, leading the team to a silver medal in the Superliga and being named the tournament’s best coach.

In the summer of 2025, he took over as head coach of Lokomotiv Kuban.
