The 9th VTB United League All-Star Game will be held on February 16, 2025, at Moscow’s VTB Arena (tickets here). This time, the Hosts and the Guests teams will compete – that means players with Russian passports against legionnaires.
Participants will be elected in three stages. At first, everyone is free to make to make their choice. The league has launched four ballos on its VKontakte page:
Front Court, Hosts;
Back Court, Hosts;
Front Court, Guests;
Back Court, Guests.
Each of these ballots includes 10 players with the highest average efficiency since the start of the championship. Thanks to this principle, four players from Lokomotiv Kuban made it into the first round of voting:
Antonius Cleveland and Patrick Miller to the Back Court, Guests list;
Andrey Martyuk and Kirill Yelatontsev to the Front Court, Hosts list.

Fan voting will last until 12 PM on January 6, 2025. One VKontakte account can vote for one player in each of the 4 ballots. The top two from each ballot will get their place at the All-Star Game.
After that, sports journalists and basketball experts will vote for a week. They will cast their votes for any VTB United League player at their will (except for those who have already been chosen by fans). This will determine 4 more participants from the Hosts and the Guests.
Then the league will give wild cards – 4 to the Hosts and 4 to the Guests.
That means that any Loko player, in addition to those included in the fan vote, can still become a participant in the 2025 All-Star Game. But we still recommend not delegating the right to choose to someone else and voting for those you consider most worthy.
Go Loko!
