The Russian State Duma honours Loko

PBC Lokomotiv-Kuban and the Krasnodar Krai Basketball Federation received letters of gratitude from the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

On February 3, a meeting was held at the Krasnodar House of Journalists, where volunteers and representatives of organizations that took an active part in eliminating the consequences of the fuel oil spill in the Kerch Strait received their share of honors.

Letters of thanks from the Russian State Duma were presented by Dmitry Pirog, First Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on Physical Culture and Sports. Among others, Lokomotiv Kuban PBC and the Basketball Federation of Krasnodar Krai were noted: our organizations were represented at the event by center Andrei Martyuk and forward of Loko-2 Ignat Krasnoruzhenko.

The reason for this gratitude was that at the end of last year our club sent part of the proceeds from ticket sales to help restore the unique nature of the Krasnodar Region. We purchased and sent heat guns, generators, thermo pots and personal protective equipment to volunteers in the Temryuk District.
