Semerninov will be the head coach of Loko against Astana

Andrey Vedishchev delegated the right to run Lokomotiv Kuban for today's away game against Astana to his first assistant Roman Semerninov.

For Roman Yevgenyevich, this won’t be the first experience managing a team as a head coach. In February 2022, he ran Lokomotiv Kuban in an away Eurocup game against Metropolitan 92. Semerninov has also been heading the Russian U20 national team for many years and has played dozens of games with it.

I am sure that Astana will come out against us with a big motivation. But we know their strengths well and will try to neutralize them. The most important thing will be our attitude to the game. We have seen more than once this season what the wrong attitude to the opponent leads to. I hope we have learned these lessons well. The goals and objectives from the head coach have been set, we will move according to the plan.

This is not the only change in the Lokomotiv roster compared to the game against MBA-MAI. Point guard Artyom Chevarenkov suffered a muscle strain and returned to Krasnodar. We wish the player a quick recovery!

The game against Astana will begin at 12 PM Moscow time. It will be broadcasted on the Krasnodar and Start Triumph TV channels, as well as the VTB United League websites and ours.

Go, Lokomotiv!
