Vladislav Yemchenko: “We always fight to the very end”

The Loko guard shared his thoughts the match against CSKA (84:88).
Vladislav Yemchenko, the guard for Lokomotiv Kuban PBC

In recent years, our games against CSKA have always been very passionate. Probably, not a single one is calm. I think that is the essential beauty of basketball. Today we were one with the stands. Thanks to our fans! Of course, we would have liked to see a different result at the end of the game. But we fought. We always fight. Yes, we lost, but this season we have never lost to anyone by more than 6 points. This shows that we do not give up and always fight to the very end. Why did we lose to CSKA? We did not fully follow our game plan. Our task was to close down the opponent's leaders, not give them the opportunity to do what they are good at. And we did not quite cope with this – we allowed them to feel free too often. We managed to make it hard for them to shoot from beyond the arc, but CSKA's strength is that you need to interfere with them not in one thing, but in everything. We can do this, which we have proven more than once in previous games against them.
