Mikhail Vedishchev: “I think it was a good show”

Against Astana (102:82), the Lokomotiv point guard scored 5 of 5 three-point attempts, which helped him set a personal record in the VTB United League of 17 points.
What are your impressions gf this game?
We've won, so my impressions are super! I think it was a good show: beautiful dunks and 3-pointers, good defense at the 2nd half. From the start, we didn’t defend quite as we should have, but after a big break, we pulled ourselves together and showed our level.
Was the team distracted by the fact that at some point the Kazakh fans could be heard clearly?
Honestly, I was very surprised. I started the game at the bench, and when Astana scored their first points, I didn’t even understand where that sound was coming from. Then we saw a whole sector of Kazakh fans. But our Lokofamily didn’t let us down either: as soon as we put on a show, they immediately got involved.
In one of the episodes, in the 4th quarter, you successfully defended against Andrey Desyatnikov, who is a whole foot taller than you...
Yes, it was very hard. But we played on the same team last year – Dynamo Vladivostok, so I knew what to expect from him.
You scored the team's 100th point in the match. Are you going to treat everyone to pizza now?
Yeah, everyone in the team told me about it, like, ten times after the game. That's my second time this season scoring 100th point, so I know where to order pizza.
What can you say about the performance of other young Lokomotiv players today?
I think they played well today - both Danil Sheyanov and Daniil Kosko, who scored a great dunk at the ending. We managed to create the necessary aggression in defense, which gave us a good run in the attack.
