The Victory Locomotive has taken its start

The large-scale project "Victory Locomotive", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory in the 2nd World War, is launched by our club in collaboration with the Krasnodar krai Basketball Federation.

The patriotic event “Victory Locomotive” is dedicated both to the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland in Russia and the Year of Railway Glory.

The events of “Victory Locomotive” will be held at the regional basketball festival, at the final of the regional Lokobasket School league, and at some other competitions.

Young athletes will take part in laying flowers at the memorials to railway soldiers. At Loko’ home games, a photozone called “We are proud” will be set up. At the Lokobasket School league games in Krasnodar, a photo exhibition “The feat of railway workers is alive” will be shown. Also, excursions to the unique historical monuments “Locomotives of Victory” will be held for children and young people.

The 80th anniversary of the Victory is special for our country. In Russian Railways JSC, it has been declared the Year of Railway Glory. Examples of the courage of railway workers will forever remain in our hearts. We address our warmest wishes and words of gratitude to our war veterans, heroes of labor and home front workers. Thematic events are taking place in the Russian Railways holding throughout the country. And it is great and right that our professional sports clubs support and keep our traditions. The glory of the industry is in its history and heritage. The patriotic campaign "Victory Locomotive", launched by Lokomotiv Kuban PBC, certainly spreads the word about the heroic railway workers. For the younger generation, their exploits will be an excellent example of determination, hard work and courage - qualities that help achieve great victories even in peacetime.

As a representative of a large sports family of railway workers, Lokomotiv Kuban eagerly joins these festive events. We are proud of the achievements that were made for the sake of Victory in May 1945. At all times, railway workers are distinguished by unity and mutual assistance, education and formation of continuity of generations. We adhere to the same principles in our sports life – on the basketball court and in the work of the club Academy. The "Victory Locomotive" campaign, which our club is launching together with the regional basketball federation, is intended to once again remind us of the heroic heritage of our people and the invaluable contribution of railway workers to the Victory.
