Interview

Kirill Yelatontsev: “I’m ready to play as hard as necessary”

The Lokomotiv Kuban center shared his thoughts and feelings before game #3 of the semi-final series against Zenit.
How are you feeling after the first two semi-final games? It seemed like you were getting more tough contact than anyone else.
Some parts of the body are aching, which suffered the most. But it's okay, I'm fine and ready to play as hard as necessary.
How's the mood?
The mood is super. We studied the games in St. Petersburg a lot and saw exactly what we need to improve on. We will play more aggressively in Krasnodar. We believe that we will be able to take both games on our court.
What would be the most important in the upcoming games?
Our character, desire to win and, of course, defense. We must maintain control of the game for all 40 minutes. It is unacceptable to let our opponents make such runs as in the 2nd quarter of game #2. If we play more attentively and with more focus, we will have an excellent chance to recoup the series and take the lead. And we will definitely do it.
