Time to show character and tenacity

On May 11 and 13, Lokomotiv Kuban and Zenit will play two games of the VTB United League semi-final series in Krasnodar.
Andrey Vedishchev, the head coach at Lokomotiv Kuban PBC

I think it will be a hot game on Sunday. Character and tenacity will be the most important. I don’t want to look for any external reasons, we just need to be prepared for any scenarios – both physically and mentally. We need to play extremely carefully in defense and as a team in attack, especially in the decisive minutes. In this series, everyone has their trump cards, but I believe in the potential of my team. I count on maximum support, the fans should become our sixth player. We need to equalize the score in the series - and we are ready to do it.

Both opponents arrived in Krasnodar on May 8 and trained once a day in the following days.

Lokomotiv Kuban trained with its full squad; Vsevolod Ishchenko took part in some sessions, and Karvel Anderson went out to shoot the ball after the end of the training – but it is too early to talk about these players returning to the roster.

Dmitry Uzinsky, the captain of Lokomotiv Kuban PBC

Everyone in the team understands the importance of the upcoming games, we are ready to give our 100%. We will fight for each other, for the club, for the city. In the second game we showed good aggression, especially in the first half. We intend to continue in the same spirit. If we need to play even harder, we will play even harder. We are ready for the fight. And, of course, we are counting on the help of the full stands. The fans are our sixth player, their support helps us rush towards our goal at full speed. Let's give Zenit a blast together!

At the time of publishing the preview, there were still 22 tickets left for the lower tier and 68 for the upper tier for the game on May 11. We expect a complete sell-out, so hurry up and buy a ticket if you haven’t done so yet for some reason.

Come in red, green and black. Let’s turn a sold-out into a full house! Go, Loko! We’re going to push it to the end!
