Interview

Patrick Miller: “Our backs have been against the wall a lot of times this season”

The leader of Lokomotiv Kuban spoke about the mood in the team before the sixth game of the semi-final series against Zenit.
How do guys feel after Game 5?
You know, our backs have been against the wall a lot of times this season. So I think it's nothing new for us. It's a must win or go home game. So I think we have to come out with energy and that's what we're going to do.
Every time Loko has a bad game this playoffs, the next game you play much better. Can we expect something like this tomorrow?
Yeah, I expect us to have a way better game than we played last time. With better body language, with everything. And if the crowd is how it's supposed to be, I think we're going to feed off the crowd and then we're going to get the win that we need.
Aren't you tired?
I think everybody is tired – we are tired, Zenit is tired. But we have played the most games right now to anybody. So we're used to it. You know, the more games you play, I think your body will get used to it. We got a deep team, so it's about winning whatever it takes. I don't think anybody is going to complain about being tired or body hurting.
What would be the key thing tomorrow?
Coming out and, you know, from the first whistle, the ball goes up, being aggressive, playing with energy and playing together as a team. Stay positive through the ups and downs. Every team, both teams can go on the run, but we got to stay positive and then believe, you know, just have confidence.
