Welcome, Jeremiah!

Lokomotiv Kuban PBC has been joined by the best scorer of the 2024/25 season, Jeremiah Martin, who signed the 1-year agreement with our club.

Jeremiah Oljawain Martin Jr. was born on June 19, 1996 in Memphis, USA. He plays the position of point guard.

While studying at the University of Memphis, he became the first in the history of his team to score 40+ points twice in a season. He was included in the first (2019) and second (2018) teams of the American Athletic Division of the NCAA Championship.

In the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons, he played 21 games in the NBA (including 3 in the playoffs) for the Brooklyn Nets and Cleveland Cavaliers. Playing for Brooklyn, on August 11, 2020, he scored 24 points against the Orlando Magic (108:96).

After playing in the Australian (for New Zealand Breakers) and German (for Gottingen) championships, he signed a contract with Polish Śląsk and won silver medals at the end of the 2022/23 season, was included in the Team of the season, became the league’s best scorer (19.1 points), and also the leader of the Eurocup in steals (2.0).

Having moved to Yenisei in the summer of 2023, he earned a call-up to the VTB United League All-Star Game.

He spent the next season in Uralmash, which he helped win the Russian Cup for the first time in history and was included in the Team of the Final Four.

In the VTB United League’s last season, Martin’s statistics were 17.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 2.0 steals, 0.4 blocks. He became the best scorer, took 3rd place in interceptions, and in terms of average efficiency coefficient (20.1) he was second after Patrick Miller.
