Kvitkovskikh leads the national team by points and rebounds

On July 30, in the second friendly game with Iran, the Russian team took a convincing revenge – 79:58. Three Lokomotiv Kuban players took to the court. Anton Kvitkovskikh became the leader in several key statistics.

Anton Kvitkovskikh was in the starting lineup this time and became notable by scoring 8 points in the first 7 minutes. This helped the Russian team take a confident lead by the first break – 24:15. And Kvitkovskikh eventually became the team’s top scorer (13 points on par with Maxim Barashkov), the best in rebounds (7, including 5 in attack) and in efficiency (21).

At the beginning of the 2nd quarter, Vsevolod Ishchenko showed himself good – after his 5 points in a row, the gap became more than twofold, 31:15. In the final protocol, our youngster had 7 points with 100% accuracy of throws, as well as 6 rebounds and the second-best efficiency on the team (18).

Meanwhile, the Russian team continued to increase their advantage, which at some point exceeded the 20-point mark. In the 4th quarter, Kirill Temirov spent 5 minutes on the court, during which time he managed to make two rebounds.

79:58 – a worthy response from the Russian national team to the defeat two days earlier.
