Welcome, Vince!

Vince Hunter has joined Lokomotiv Kuban PBC. The agreement with the 31-year-old center has the “1+1” scheme.

Vincent Shamar Hunter was born on August 5, 1994 in Detroit (USA). He spent his college years playing for the NCAA team at the University of Texas at El Paso, where he was included in the first and second Teams of Conference USA.

He began his professional career with the Reno Bighorns of the NBA Development League, in February 2016 he signed a contract with Panathinaikos, with whom he reached the 1/4 of the Euroleague, became vice-champion and winner of the Greek Cup.

Before the start of the 2016/17 campaign, he signed a contract with the Memphis Grizzlies and played 4 games for the club in the NBA preseason camp. In November 2016, he joined Avtodor, and thanks to a successful season in Saratov, he received a new offer from the Memphis Grizzlies, for which he played 4 more games.

In January 2018, he moved to AEK, where he won the FIBA Champions League and the Greek league. This was followed by two seasons in Virtus, gold in the Italian Championship and the title of the best player of the Eurocup Top 16.

In the 2022/23 season, he played for UNICS, became the champion of the VTB United League, after which he moved to Zenit. In the 2023/24 season, he became the bronze medalist of the VTB United League, the winner of the Super Cup and the Russian Cup, took part in the VTB United League All-Star Game and was recognized as the DPOY. In the 2024/25 season, he won silver in the VTB United League.

In the previous season, Hunter’s statistics were: 8.4 points + 5.5 rebounds + 1.1 assists + 1.1 steals + 0.9 blocks.

He is an experienced player who is very good on both sides of the court and is ready to take the initiative at key moments.
