Alexey Pegushin is assigned as the vice-president of Lokomotiv Kuban PBC.

International Master of Sports Alexey Pegushin is a legend of Perm basketball. This title is quite official: in 2023, a jersey with number 13, under which he played for Ural-Great club, was raised to the arches of the Molot Sports Palace.

Pegushin was born in Solikamsk, started playing basketball at the age of 7, and at 12 he was already in the Perm Region team. In 1999, he participated in the All-Star Game of Russia and was recognized as its best player. As part of Ural-Great, he won two gold medals in the Russian Championship (2000/01 and 2001/02), as well as the NEBL league (2000/01).

After finishing his playing career, he worked as a head and assistant coach at Ural-Great. In 2013, he was the main man and the mastermind in the creation and development of the Kaliy-Basket (Potassium Basket) sports school in Berezniki.

For a long time, Andrey Vedischev and I had been talking about whether I would like to join Lokomotiv once. I had time to think it over properly. And when he sent a clear and definite invitation this summer, I agreed without hesitation. At Loko, I am responsible for the results of all teams: the main team, youth, juniors and kids. There is a lot of work to do, and what an interesting work it is! We will develop young players and try to achieve a result with the main team that everyone will like by the end of this season.
