The Lokomotiv Kuban guard spoke on the team's preparations to the next game, against Yenisei at October 2.
- What are your first impressions about the new league?
- It was good. It was a tough game for us. Of course, I don't have a great feeling because we lost on a buzzer beater. But yeah, I love the energy here in Krasnodar. Our arena was loud and beautiful facility. I love this gym. All good things except the loss.
- What do you think Loko needs to do better in the next games?
- We got to be on the same page. That's number one. We were a little bit divided in terms of communication and our effort was not there. We didn't play like we wanted it as much as Uralmash. We understand that as a top team in the league, we are going to have targets on our backs. And they played with the fight of an underdog and we played like we just deserved to win. And that usually leads to a loss. So, we got to completely change our mentality, our attitude and come with much greater effort. Right now the focus is on us because like I said, that's number one right now.
- What can you say to those still hesitating to visit the next game?
- Why would they hesitate? It was a super entertaining basketball last game! But yeah, I would say we need you. We need you guys. The fans are a huge part of the energy in this building and we feel that energy. We feed off that and the louder this place is, the tougher it is for our opponents and the more energized we get. So, I would say come out, watch some good basketball!
