Kassius Robertson: “I have a duty for my team to keep scoring”

The Lokomotiv Kuban guard was the top scorer against Yenisei (67:58) with 19 points and several decisive 3-pointers in the 4th quarter.
What can you say about the result?
You know, it was ugly for us – tough to score, shots were driving by. We responded with our defense. That was what we talked about a lot after the loss. We focused on that and we really did a great job in defense. I’m proud of the team for playing such a defense. I know that I played terribly in defense in the first game, so today was a step up. We definitely responded to the loss. I’m happy we’ve got our first win, and now it’s time to build.
Why did Loko score so few?
We’re still finding our offensive rhythm. We have three guys out: Martin is a great scorer, Yela gives us a lot on both sides of the court, Seva is also an important guy. So we are still building our chemistry with each other.
Is it hard to stay confident in such a situation?
I have no choice! I have a duty for my team to keep shooting. Because you never know if your important shots come in. Yeah, shots weren’t dropping tonight, especially for me. But I stayed confident, kept shooting and in the 2nd half some of my threes were made, they were pretty important, Yenisei was put away. As I said, it’s just my job. I just gotta keep shooting.
