On the morning of November 8, Lokomotiv Kuban player Kirill Yelatontsev informed the club’s medical staff that he had felt ill the night before and had called an ambulance to his home with symptoms of poisoning. It was noticed, that the player did not inform our club’s medical staff of his health condition immediately, but acted independently.
Upon acknowledging the incident, the club’s medical staff examined Kirill Yelatontsev, and then he underwent additional testing. The doctors found no acute health issues and confirmed that hospitalization was not required.
Currently, the club’s medical staff sees no obstacles to Kirill Yelatontsev participating in the upcoming VTB United League match against Zenit on November 9 in Krasnodar. The club and coaching staff are counting on him for that game.
The club also suspects that Kirill Yelatontsev is faking symptoms of illness and misleading the club’s coaching staff and medical personnel. Thus, the athlete is violating not only his employment relationship but also his obligations as a player of a professional club.
