The Lokomotiv Kuban guard proved himself to be a true team leader in recent games. We spoke with him before the game against MBA-MAI.
- Twenty-five percent of the regular season is over. How can you rate this part of the season for Loko?
- To be honest, we've gone through a lot. We've had a lot of injuries. Our team is changing. But we're still in a good position. We have been through bad times and we still fought. We're dealing with our problems well, in my opinion. And it's only going to get better from here. You know, we've got a lot of newcomers coming and guys getting healthy. So it's going to be another change. We're going to have to get used to playing with each other again when the new guys come. But yeah, no, it's a whole season. We've got to learn how to win. And I think we're doing a good job.
- Can you say that you're already get used to the VTB United League?
- Yeah, yeah, for sure. We've played everybody. So yeah, it's good getting my feet under me, my bearings, and learning the team and learning coach and learning all the guys. And it's a process. I mean, you have to learn how to win. You can't take some of these wins or some of these losses to heart. Everything's a learning experience. And I'm just trying to learn from everyone. And we got to learn how to win because when playoffs come, that's the time where we really got to be our best.
- Did some opponents surprise you?
- No, I don't think there were any surprises. I think everybody we've played has fought, and I think we got stunned against CSKA. It was probably the only game where we absolutely did not come out to play. And they kicked our butt, but that was expectable. They're a great team, and if we don't come to play against a team like that, of course you're going to lose badly.
- Can you say something to the fans who are going to visit the game at Saturday?
- Yeah, we always need your support. We love you when you guys come and make noise. It helps us, makes the game more fun for us too. And yeah, I hope to see this place packed.
