The captain of Lokomotiv Kuban had a powerful performance against MBA-MAI (93:79) with his 25 points and 8 assists.
- How was the game today?
- Fun, you know. We had 3 games in a row at home for the fans so it's good playing in front of them and I'm glad we were able to get 3 wins. Today was another step and let's just have a good rhythm right now as a team.
- That did not seem like an easy win today. Did MBA-MAI surprise you?
- No, they're at the top of the standings right now. They're playing good basketball. They had a hard-fought game against Zenit, so they're a tough team. We know how they play. They play physical, they deny. We knew it was going to be another dogfight and I'm glad we were able to come out with the win.
- What was the key for a win today?
- Energy, from the start. We had a good 1st quarter, 2nd quarter. Kind of let them get back in the game and then they kept going on runs. But we were able to withstand the runs even though Kassius [Robertson] got hurt. I just think we come together as a team and now I hope Kash is not out for too long and then we got like guys coming like Jeremiah coming back so we should be trying to keep this momentum going.
- Your family arrived to Krasnodar and they supported you and the team for these two previous games. Does it help you play?
- Yes! Seeing them keeps me positive with the ups and downs. Kids are always happy. So, even if I'm having a bad game, I could just look at them, and they cheer me up. While I'm in the game, I can hear their little voices. So having them here is been exciting for me. I'm happy. I just want to keep this momentum going for the team, bring this positive energy to the team and we hopefully can keep getting more wins.
