Lokomotiv Kuban center shared his thoughts on the upcoming game against CSKA.
- How was it playing against Uralmash and Samara?
- Uralmash is one of them teams… we owed them for our first loss of the year, which we all wish we could have back. Then especially with it being a lot of our players were injured. I think it meant a lot to me and the young guys to come away with two good road wins, just to show how tough we are in a row and to kind of set the tip of where the team should be and just to keep carrying on, even if guys go down with injuries.
- What can you say about the new guys?
- Today was Mike's first practice. You know, he's looking good. He just got to find the shape and find the chemistry within the team. So it's going to work out perfectly. BJ, we're all familiar with him. Been playing against him for years now. Glad to have him back. He's been here a few practices, so he's trying to find his legs and conditioning right now. But they're both looking pretty good. I'm really excited to see how we look during the game.
- Is the game against CSKA special for you?
- Just as much as special as playing basketball every day, I should say. But no, for real, they're one of the top teams, usually the number one team. So, of course, we're going to have a special chip on our shoulder for them guys. We're going to see what we can do, if we can come away with a win at home. Just show respect to them guys because, you know, they have been number one for years. So we have to show that respect, but also we have to come out and play like we can be a top team, if not number one in the league.
- Probably there will be full stands. Do you want to say something to the fans?
- We welcome you all. We love and we play so much better when you guys are in the arena and we appreciate it. We just love seeing you guys' faces and cheering for us. We welcome you. See you at Friday.
