Anton Yudin: “I’m not happy with the start of the game, but the team responded well”

The head coach of Lokomotiv Kuban PBC commented on the outcome of the game against CSKA (90:95 ET).
What can you say about the game?
We had 13 turnovers in the first 20 minutes, and we were lucky to only be down by 12 points by the break. After that, we only had 2 turnovers, including extra time. This shows we've started playing differently, cherishing the ball, and finding the right solutions. Overall, we gradually found a lineup that played the way we wanted from the start. Obviously, I'm not happy with the start of the game, but at the same time, I'm glad the team responded well. Perhaps if we'd started like that, it would have been easier for us throughout the game.
What didn't work out in extra time?
The outcome of games like these is always decided by small details, by single bad decisions. At the end, when we were trailing by 2 points, the opponent had 2 seconds left to attack after a throw-in. We had to switch, but didn't do it and let Melo Trimble score a 3-pointer. And overall, we let Trimble do way too much in offence.
How do you rate Mike Moore's debut and BJ Johnson's first game after a long pause?
We've only had two training sessions together, but they're both in good physical shape, so I planned to use them depending on the game would progress. They both came into the game well, so they got a fair amount of time. I have no complaints about them.
Today, Basket Hall set a new attendance record for this season. Anything to say to the fans?
Thanks to everyone who came to the arena today; it was a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, we weren't able to please our fans with a victory, but I can assure you that we will keep improving. Our work is gradually making us better.
