Jeremiah Martin: “Playing on Christmas is something I’m going to definitely remember”

The Lokomotiv Kuban guard shared his expectations for the Winline Basket Cup game against CSKA scheduled for Christmas, December 25.
Is CSKA a special rival for you?
Yes, because we haven't beaten them this season. So of course it'll be good if we can get a home win in front of our crowd. And on top of that, we want to get our first win in the Winline Basket Cup.
While playing, will you keep the previous game against CSKA in mind?
Most definitely, because you know how we fought so hard to get back in the game, and we ended up losing it at the end.
What do you expect of this game?
I expect a hard fought game. You know, two teams that's going after it and trying to get a win at the end of the day.
Can you call this game a decisive one, or maybe some latter games will be more decisive?
Whether it's the Winline Cup or the VTB League, you know, we're playing a great team, a team that's experienced, that's been together. And we're just trying to put together a game and get a win.
What's the mood in the team?
Our mood is good, coming off a win. I should tell you, no matter who we played against, I think the last game was definitely a hard fought game. But we had to put together the last couple of minutes and come together and get the win at the end. So, our mood is good.
It will be a Christmas day game…
Yes, maybe the first time ever I will play on Christmas. I can't remember exactly, but it's a special day for me and one of my favorite holidays. So definitely going to be happy to come out and play on Christmas. Usually I just watch NBA and football games this day. But me actually being able to play on Christmas is something I'm going to definitely remember. And it should be something special for me. On top of that, I have my family in the building as well, so it will be good.
