The Lokomotiv Kuban guard was one of the most valuable players in the game against Uralmash (77:64), scoring 8 points without missing a single shot from the field.
- What worked today, what didn’t?
- We probably tried to play too much as a team today. And sometimes we overplayed in certain situations. But I think it's better to move the ball excessively than to make some tough shot. I think that's definitely better. Everyone tried, again, to bring their energy to the defense. We did especially well in the 3rd quarter; we only allowed 5 points. At one point, our opponent couldn't even throw the ball in properly. We still have a lot to work on. But at least we won today.
- Patrick Miller said before the game that you'd be fighting for yourselves today. Do you think you did it enough?
- Well, if we won, then at least we didn't lose face. It wasn't a super-good, perfect game from us, but we won, and that's good.
- How satisfied are you with your own performance?
- There's not much to comment on. I scored a couple of shots. I defended well at first, but then I let the opponent go a couple of times. It wasn't perfect, but we'll work on it.
- Did the stands help maintain the mood for the game today?
- Yes, they were very helpful, especially our fan section. Always drumming, chanting, and making noise–helping us and hindering our opponents. And thanks to the rest of the crowd, too. There weren't many people there, but your support was clearly heard.
