After a couple of months, the Lokomotiv Kuban forward took part in a VTB United League game again – his 5 points secured an away victory over MAB-MAI (107:82).
- Congratulations on your victory and your long-awaited return to the court. Did you miss playing?
- I missed it like crazy. Three months of gaming drought. I really missed it.
- Were you nervous when you stepped onto the court?
- More at the very beginning of the game. I calmed down in the second half, and when I entered the game in the 4th quarter, I was ready.
- What instructions did the coach give you?
- My instructions was to give maximum energy, help with rebounds, and work on defense.
- While you were on the court, the opponent launched some kind of run-back. How did you react to that?
- I felt like almost all the points were scored through me. So I tried to fix that.
- How did you manage to stop this run?
- Thanks to the team. Everyone started helping me, I helped the others, and together we stopped them.
- Did you hear Loko fans during the game?
- Yes, they were really loud. They even shouted over the local fans at one point. It's great that they're supporting us even on away games. I'd like to thank them very much.
- One more question is about the pizza. The tradition is that the player who scores the 100th point in the game gives pizza to the whole the team. Have the guys already remind you of this?
