The Lokomotiv-Kuban center shared his opinion on what will be most important in the game against Zenit.
- Why do you think Zenit lost to Nizhny?
- I would say a lot of people are asleep on Nizhny. But they always are really well coached, and they play together, and they really have all the pieces that they want and need to have a successful game. Saying that they have a guard that can score, and then they have big men that can run, and they like running short roll, and they share the ball, so they play really well together. They played really well against us, it wasn't an easy game for us, so I think a lot of people just sleep on Nizhny, and they're really a good team.
- Will Zenit be enraged after that loss?
- We can't worry about Zenit. We should be enraged. We lost some games that we shouldn't have lost. We're fighting for our position, so we're more so worried about what we're doing over here, and how we can change the season around to present itself as better. So that's what we're working towards.
- Compared to Yenisei, Loko made a step up against MBA-MAI. How hard will it be to make the next step up against Zenit?
- You can say like we made a step up. I think it's just us finding a way to play with consistency, no matter what game it is, no matter what day. I think that's just our problem. We have to play consistently, and we got to bring the energy every game. Some games we bring it and some games we don't. I'm guessing you can tell when we don't bring the energy. So, you know, that's our problem. We're trying to fix that now.
