BJ Johnson: “You’ve got to play hard against every team”

The Lokomotiv Kuban forward catalysed the run that helped them win over Samara (96:79), scoring 17 points and making 4 steals.
What's gone wrong with Loko in the first half?
I don't know, maybe some players thought it would be kind of an easy game just based on Samara's record and stuff. But you've got to play hard against every team. I think early on, we gave them some confidence. And when you give professional players confidence, it can turn any game into a close competitive game.
What did the coach say in the big break?
A bunch of the coaches got on certain players, said they weren't playing hard enough, and how we were playing was unacceptable. So in the middle of the 3rd quarter I think we finally got it going.
What helped turn the game in the right way?
Just our intensity and focus. In the second half we had more focus on our game, and we got a lead and made it more difficult for them to get good shots, to get comfortable, and it got us to win.
A couple words for our fans.
I think all the players and coaches appreciate the support. Their energy, all the noise they make, it definitely helps us.
