Our previous match against Yenisei was the debut of Lokomotiv’s current head coach, and the home team won 86:78 to the delight of the Krasnoyarsk crowd. Their center Yegor Ryzhov had the best game of his career: 24 points and 9 rebounds (8 of which were offensive).
Since then, Yenisei has played nine VTB United League games. On January 20, they convincingly defeated Pari NN in Nizhny Novgorod, 76:55. Krasnoyarsk captain Dmitry Sonko scored 18 points and grabbed 7 rebounds, significantly improving his season-high stats of 10.6 points, 3,1 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 0.5 steals.
On January 24, Yenisei lost to Uralmash in Yekaterinburg in a close clutch, 85:92. Krasnoyarsk power forward Danilo Tasić (23 points) was superb that night, though we might not see him play on March 8, as he missed last week’s game. But just in case, we’ll give you his stats: 15.7 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.3 steals, 0.7 blocks—he’s a player wholly deserving of his place in the 2026 All-Star Game.
On January 28, Yenisei put up a worthy fight against CSKA on their home court, losing 66:79. The 4th quarter became decisive, with the Army Men winning this stretch 22:8. Small forward Daniil Kasatkin made his return to Russian basketball in this game, scoring 12 points, adding 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.
The next game, an away one against Zenit (56:106), was perhaps Yenisei’s only complete failure this winter. However, just 3 days later, the Krasnoyarsk team put up a good fight in Yekaterinburg against Uralmash, losing in overtime, 84:90. Shooting guard Dominic Artis contributed 17 points to our opponent. This season, the player averages 12.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.9 steals.
Yenisei secured a very important victory on February 10 in Moscow, defeating their direct competitor, MBA-MAI, 76:75. Point guard Matt Coleman, who is averaging 10.0 points, 2.6 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.2 steals in 2025/26, scored the decisive points in the final minutes of that game.
On February 17, Lokomotiv newcomer Alen Hadzibegovic played his previous game in Krasnoyarsk as a part of Avtodor. The Saratov team lost 64:85, and our Qatari-Montenegrin player scored 14 points.
On February 21, Yenisei once again demolished Pari NN, 106:77. Lokomotiv alum Mikhail Vedishchev scored double figures – 10 points.
In their previous game, our opponent lost away to BETCITY PARMA. Tasić was absent due to injury, so another Lokomotiv alumnus, center Sergei Dolinin, started in their lineup. He ended up with 5 points, 5 rebounds, and the Perm team won 81:70. As a result, Yenisei enters the game against us in 8th place in the standings. We also will play in Krasnodar on April 22nd to close out the regular season.
The game starts at 12:00 PM Moscow time. Go, Loko!
