The captain of Lokomotiv Kuban was the top scorer in the game against UNICS (19 points), but this did not help the Krasnodar team achieve victory – 67:75.
- What do you feel right now?
- I'm disappointed with the result. We wanted to end this long trip on a winning note, we fought for it, but it didn't work out, so now emotions are at a low point. But we need to pull ourselves together and start winning again.
- What happened in the final minutes?
- It was the same as throughout the entire game: turnovers. I don't know why there were so many of them today; maybe it was just a bit of fatigue. But it felt like it wasn't UNICS that beat us, it was us who gave away the win today.
- Was there some key moment today?
- A bad stretch in the 4th quarter when we let them get an offensive rebound, they immediately moved the ball up the arc and hit a three-pointer. UNICS was actually very good at long shots today. We weren't.
- Could Loko play better if Hadzibegovic was fit?
- This shouldn't be an excuse. The opponent was missing much more key players – four. And we must win today.
- You had to ice your leg at the beginning of the game. What happened?
- No reasons to worry, I'm fine. We knew today's game would be tough, and it was. There will be even more contact in the playoffs, and we need to be prepared for that. I'm used to getting hit a lot. Things like that make you stronger.
- Did you see the fans who came to cheer for Lokomotiv?
- Of course. When we first came out for the warm-up, we noticed them right away. And we heard them throughout the game. Thanks to these people, we appreciate the support.
- Why has Lokomotiv been unable to beat UNICS this season?
- I don't know. Something's always a little lacking. Look at the results: in each of our four games, we lost in the final minutes. So, we'll keep practicing and getting better. I think we've made significant progress recently; all we need to do is adjust a few minor details, and we'll be fully prepared for the playoffs.
