In 2015, young Irkutsk prospect Konovalov was invited to the CSKA system, where he won several youth titles.
In the 2020/21 season, he became the Superliga 1 champion with Samara. Then he joined MBA (renamed MBA-MAI in 2024), with whom he won two bronze medals in the Russian Cup. In previous season, he was invited to the VTB United League All-Star Game and was the league’s Top-5 assistant (5.1 per game).
In the summer of 2025, Konovalov signed a 3-year contract with Lokomotiv Kuban.
