During his college career, Miller played for the Tennessee State Tigers. In 2011, he was named the Ohio Valley Conference’s NCAA Rookie of the Year. In the 2013-14 season, became fifth in the whole NCAA in scoring (23.7 points).
Miller’s first professional club was Beşiktaş, from where he transferred to Yeşilgiresun in January 2015 and helped the team win the Turkish Second League championship.
Playing for Israeli Ironi, he won the 2020-21 EuroCup. In the semifinals, they defeated Parma Perm, and Miller became the leading scorer (15.6 points) and assister (6.0 assists) of the entire season.
In the 2021-22 season, he was the leading scorer in the Lithuanian Championship (17.9 points).
Patrick signed a contract with Lokomotiv Kuban in March 2024, shortly before the VTB United League playoffs. Later, he was offered a contract extension, which the player accepted.
In January 2025, he was named the VTB United League MVP of the month. In six January games, Miller averaged 17.0 points, 7.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.2 steals, for an efficiency rating of 24.7.
The player received the wild card to the 2025 All-Star Game, where he made 6 rebounds and 6 assists.
In summer 2025, Miller extended his contract with Loko by 2 more years and was selected the team’s captain.
