From 2012 to 2014, Abdulbasirov played for the Lokomotiv Kuban youth team. He captained the Russian student national team at the 2017 Summer Universiade and won the VTB United League title (2024/25 season) and the 2024 Supercup with CSKA.

His contract with Lokomotiv Kuban is running through the end of the 2026/27 season.
