Pokuševski joined the Greek side Olympiacos’s system at the age of 14. He made his EuroLeague debut at 17, becoming the youngest player in the club’s history to play in the tournament.

In 2020, he was selected 17th overall in the NBA draft and subsequently played four seasons in the league for the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Charlotte Hornets. During his rookie season, he achieved several notable milestones: becoming the second-youngest player (after LeBron James) to hit five three-pointers in a game and the 12th-youngest player to record a triple-double.

In 2024, the forward returned to Europe, signing with Partizan Belgrade. Since 2026, he has been playing for Lokomotiv Kuban.
