Ivan Paunic (198 cm, 95 kg) was the silver medalist of the European Championship 2009 as part of the Serbian national team, won gold and silver at the Student Universiade. Ivan took part in the qualification for the 2019 World Cup, in which he played 4 matches with an average of 10 points + 3 rebounds + 3.8 assists per game.
Ivan was born and started his professional career in Belgrade. In his club career the first team was Partizan. He have experience in the VTB League. From 2010 to 2012 he played for Nizhny Novgorod and Azovmash, and in 2014 for Astana.
In his career he also played in Virtus Bologna in Italy, in Lagun Aro and Fuenlabrada in Spain, in Tofas in Turkey. In February 2020 he signed a contract with Mega Bemax, but managed to play only two matches, after which the season was interrupted due to the coronavirus pandemic.
