Despite the fact that there is one more matchday left in the regular season, one quarterfinal pair is already known for sure.
After the victory over Yenisei (106:94), PARMA secured fifth place in the Top 6. And a day earlier it became clear that Lokomotiv Kuban would finish fourth in the regular season. Thus, it is the Permians who the Krasnodar team will face in the 1/4 finals.
Loko and PARMA have played each other 4 times this season. The Urals won the first two matches (85:87 OT, 67:73), and when the Top 6 round began, Alexander Sekulić’s team won twice (89:85, 80:75).
In general, these teams layed each other 20 times. And only three games were won by PARMA (two this season, another one in December 2020). They also met in the playoffs once – it was the quarterfinals of the 2021/22 season, which Loko won with a “sweep” – 3-0.
The first two games of the quarterfinals will take place in Krasnodar and will begin at April 22 or 23 – the exact schedule will be announced by the VTB United League by the end of this week. Then the series will move to Perm. To reach the semi-finals one need to win three times. Ticket sales for Loko home playoffs games will start as soon as the dates become confirmed.
