The Take
Last week, PARMA frightened the whole VTB United League. The Perm team scored 60 points against CSKA in Moscow – in the first half only! Nobody had ever done that in the League’s history. However, PARMA didn’t bear until the end of the game and was defeated. But who can say that the team is an outsider now? Even though it takes the last place in the standings.
Lokomotiv is following its way, hammering small teams and squaring off with teams of its own level. Krasnodar has won 3 of 4 games and shares the third place in the standings with Zenit and Khimki.
The upcoming game sets a new intrigue in the nearest future – Loko plays against Perm in the quarterfinal of the Cup of Russia.
Chris Babb missed a couple of games in the VTB United League. However, he is still the top scorer of the team (13). Mardy Collins confidently collects rebounds (4.5). Dima Khvostov is the top assistant (3.8) and top stealer (1.6).
As for PARMA, Frank Gaines is the fifth top scorer of the VTB League – 16. Yanick Moreira takes the third place among top rebounders of the championship – 7.5. And Codi Miller-McIntyre is the top assister of the team – 7.5.
