Yelatontsev gets the Young player of the year award

A graduate of the Lokomotiv-Kuban reserve system Kirill Yelatontsev received a prize from the VTB United league before the start of the second game of the quarterfinal series at the Basket Hall.

This season, the Loko center played 35 games in the regular season and averaged 6.3 points (61.3% from the field, 80.5% from the free throw line) and 3.5 rebounds per 16 minutes on the court.

The award was given to Yelatontsev before the game #2 of 1/4 finals by the president of Lokomotiv Kuban PBC Andrey Vedishchev and the representative of the club’s media partner, the publishing editor of  Championat.com Nikita Biryukov.

This is the third in a row award for the best young player, which went to Krasnodar. Twice before this, Lokomotiv Kuban center Andrey Martyuk was recognized as the best youngster in the League.

Last season Yelatontsev became the MVP of the Final Four of the VTB United Youth League.

Congratulations to Kirill!
