For almost a week, from May 12 to 17, the All-Russian school basketball festival was held in the Lokomotiv-Kuban youth training facility. Almost 300,000 participants from 47 regions of our country took part in the qualification, and 32 best teams (16 of boys & 16 of girls) received the pass to fight for gold medals.
According to a good and long-standing tradition, the final day of the competition included not only the golden medal games. The Friends of Basketball game is always a special event, which this time also received a lot of enthusiastic reviews from the audience.
Today’s functionaries and sports managers, deputies and legendary athletes, with passion and youthful enthusiasm, held a friendly match, in which, despite the score, of course, Friendship won!
As for the most important games, the victory was taken by the girls from Primorsky Krai, and by the boys from Yugra.
Two following places on the women’s pedestal took Penza and Novosibirsk regions, respectively. Among boys, second place went to Novgorod region, and third place to Karelia.

Best forward: Sofia Vasilenko (Novosibirsk region)
Best center: Lana Khanova (Kabardino-Balkarian Republic)
