Interview

Daniil Kasko: “A young team is good because there is always a desire to become better”

The 20-year-old forward was one of the main stars of BC MINSK last season. And now, he is one of the first newcomers to Lokomotiv Kuban – and a very anticipated one.
How long have you been at Krasnodar already?
It feels like something about a year! In fact, about three weeks, but the team is really friendly, I enjoy the training process, so time flies by swiftly.
Was the offer from Loko surprising for you?
The first offer arrived in winter, but MINSK was not ready to let me go then. From that moment on, I had a certain focus on moving to Krasnodar, and since I'm here, I am very happy.
Have you already visited some places in Krasnodar?
Not yet. At my very first days here, I lived in the Academy. A couple of day ago I rented an apartment, now when I have time, I will visit the city little by little.
How do you like our Academy?
It's super! Accomodation, food, training facility – everything is totally great.
There are a lot of young players on the team now. How do you like playing among them?
A young team is good because there is always a desire to overcome each other, to become better.
Doesn't it happen that in this desire to overcome each other, someone goes too far?
The new head coach said before the first training session that discipline and mutual respect would be the most important thing in our team. And I feel respected since the very first day at Loko.
