The Loko guard once again showed his outstanding sniper skills – in the 1st half of the game against Astana, he scored 5 three-pointers in a row (and by the end added a 6th).
- What can you say about your own performance today?
- I always just try to do whatever I can to help the team. Today I was lucky my teammates found me with a lot of good opportunities and I was fortunate enough to make them. But like I say if I make or I miss you know I just try to do whatever I can to impact the game.
- All the players in Loko scored tonight. Can you say that you’ve found the team chemistry already?
- I think so. I think we have a lot of unselfish guys. We have a lot of guys who complement each other. And I think the coaches… presidents… I mean mister Vedishchev's goal was to build a team that was that deep where we can play 10, 11, 12 guys and still have chances to compete. And I think from now we're starting to find our rhythm.
- Today you played against your previous team. How does it make you feel?
- I talked to some of the guys before the game yesterday. I'm still close friends with the coaching staff. You know Astana gave me my opportunity to showcase my talent in the VTB United league and without Astana I wouldn't be here today. So I'm always grateful to those guys. I have a lot of love and a lot of appreciation for those guys because I would not be able to enjoy the opportunity to be a part of Loko if it wasn't for Astana.
- What do you expect from the next game?
- No expectations. Just to work to enjoy the day off tomorrow. Try to recover and then just try to focus and get better day by day. Against MBA-MAI we’ll try to have another good show, hopefully a good victory and just try to build this house brick by brick.
