The captain of Loko told us about how things are going inside the team on the eve of the game with Avtodor.
- After three games, Loko is leading the tournament table. Is that the start you were waiting for?
- Definitely. Bit now we must stay on the top of that wave. We should not relax, but work and go on.
- As a captain, what can you you say about the team chemistry?
- Wise people say “there is no limit to perfection.” So, we all have something to strive for – both as a team and as individuals.
- In your opinion, how did the new players integrate, especially the young ones – Mikhail Vedishchev, Vsevolod Ishchenko?
- As far as I remember, Misha already has an experience of working with the main team. Last season, when many guys were in the national team, he held several training sessions with us. Nevertheless, everyone fit in well. Misha and Seva have played with several guys many in the Academy, so for them this is not a problem to integrate. Legionnaires are also okay. They are professionals, so for them, I think, there is no problem in joining a new team.
- What can you say about Avtodor this season?
- It is no secret that at home, in front of their fans, Avtodor plays fast and freely: aggression comes from everyone, they run well, even perform show time. Therefore, it is very important to contain their fast attacks and rebounds. We must be ready for tough basketball. And play our game, follow the coach's instructions – then everything will work out for us.
- Lokomotiv alumnus Yegor Sychkov is on loan at the Saratov team. Do you follow his performances?
- For sure! I recently saw a brilliant block that Zhora Zhbanov made over Yegor! But seriously, Sychkov does well. It's nice to see him playing and scoring. I always look at the statistics of everyone I've played with. And I wish Yegor success.
