Vladislav Yemchenko: “It is good that this victory was tough”

In the game against Samara (76:64), the Loko guard spent on the court the final 7 minutes – that very time when the Krasnodar team made a decisive run.
What did you feel after the final siren?
I was glad that we've won, especially at home in front of our beloved fans. Happy birthday to our fan sector! You are our talisman, who leads us to victories. Let me thank you on behalf of the entire team! Everyone who came out on the court today contributed to this victory. I also tried to show my best at every moment. I was a little tired towards the end, but you need to keep a cool head and a warm heart in any case.
Doers the winning streak help you play? Or, maybe, adds some pressure?
When you have five wins in a row, of course you want to continue that streak. But at the same time, every next opponent wants to be the team that inflicts our first defeat of the season.
What was the crucial factor that helped you beat Samara?
The coaches said that Samara should never be underestimated. They play team basketball - tough, physical. Today's game proved it. Three and a half quarters were very hard. It's good that in the end we managed to add in defense and give more energy in the attack. Then the stands got fired up, we caught this spirit, made a run and won. It is good that this victory was tough. In previous games we were mostly leading from the start, but the game with Samara was tense. I think we will have many such games this season, so we must be ready for them.
