The Loko center scored 14 points, made 7 rebounds and 4 blocks in the game against Uralmash (91:80).
- Of the seven wins this saeason, how difficult would you rank this one?
- Every game was hard in its own way... Today's was somewhat similar to the one against Samara – we also were trailed for almost the entire match.
- Why does this happen for the second time in a row?
- Basketball is a game of runs. Sometimes you score, sometimes your opponent does. It is impossible to keep the same pace all the time: substitutions happen, someone gets into the game poorly. In these two games, we probably fell behind because at some point the opponent made maximum effort, and we weren't ready. The most important thing is that we managed to come back every time. This is what I would call the main feature of our team today.
- Does a 7-game winning streak inspire you or puts pressure?
- I like our streak. The main thing for us is not to get hung up on it. Our team is in a good rhythm now, everyone supports each other, the atmosphere is great. Now we need to maintain this efficiency, and not to be injured. Ahead are games against CSKA, UNICS... in general, all the opponents in the league are strong, we can’t relax with anyone.
- Was your 3-point shot at the very start of the game an improvisation?
- No, we regularly practice such throws with the assistant coach. I try to make 3-pointers more often. Today there were two attempts - that's good.
- How would you rate your overall performance at the start of the championship?
- I believe that my best games are yet to come. I like to play more defensively. This is really how it works: if you defend well, it boosts your attack.
- Today, the birthday of Loko's mascot Zubastik was celebrated. How do you feel about him?
- Oh, my feelings for him are special (laughs). He's great, he creates a good atmosphere in the arena. It's a pity he doesn't travel with us on away games.
