The Loko guard scored 14 points in the game against Pari Nizhny Novgorod (101:86), all of them in the 2nd quarter; his 4 three-pointers in 3 minutes looked especially impressive.
- What can you say about today's result?
- It was important for us to win and go into the short New Year holidays in a good mood. Lately we've had problems with an attitude for the next game after beating Top 4 teams. I am glad that we broke this trend today.
- Do you feel that it was your 3-pointers that changed the game?
- I think it was the periods when we defended well that let us win. As for my shots, luck was on my side today: my partners helped me a lot, tried to find passes. I got into good rhythm, and that gave me confidence. I know that in the last games I haven’t been able to shoot well. So I’ll work even harder and, I hope, continue to play in the same way as today in the 2nd quarter.
- Why did Loko loosen their grip in the second half?
- To be honest, we relaxed a little bit. Sometimes it's hard for us to maintain aggression and concentration, when our lead is big. This is something we need to continue to work hard on.
- Do you feel fully recovered after the injury?
- I think I was fully recovered when I first came out to play after the injury. Now it's a matter of time to find the rhythm, to fully return to what I can. I missed quite a lot. In order to be more useful on the court, I need to gain back the trust of my teammates. It doesn't matter how many shots I scored or missed before. At the moment, I have to keep working.
- The New Year is coming – the main winter holiday in Russia...
- I know, and on behalf of all the Americans on our team, I wish the Lokofamily a Happy New Year and a Merry Christmas! Be happy, healthy, and surrounded by the love of your family. Let's start 2025 with a win over PARMA and full stands!
