Temirov and Kvitkovskikh played for the Russian national team

On July 28, at the Khimki basketball center, the Russian national team dramatically lost a friendly game to Iran – 67:70. Two players from Lokomotiv Kuban took part in that game.

The opposing sides agreed to expand the game roster up to 14 players. Head coach of the Russian national team Zoran Lukić decided to let Lokomotiv guard Vsevolod Ishchenko rest, and center Kirill Yelatontsev left the national team earlier – in agreement with the coaching staff.

Kirill Temirov played 15 1/2 minutes in this game, scoring 3 points, making 2 rebounds and 1 assist. Anton Kvitkovskikh had 4 points and 1 steal in 8 minutes.

The game turned out to be very exciting: the leader changed every now and then, none of the opponents managed to run away by more than 6 points. In the clutch, Iran was leading by 4 points, the Russian team tied it 20 seconds before the end, but Mohammad Amini scored a very hard 3-pointer in the last attack. 67:70 – victory for the guests.

On July 30, the opponents will face each other again.
