The head coach of Lokomotiv Kuban PBC commented on the victory over MBA-MAI (88:67).
- What can you say about the result?
- MBA-MAI is having a good season. They try to play tough and physical. They've beaten Uralmash and BETCITY PARMA several times, and recently came close to beating CSKA. I wanted our team to show maximum respect for this opponent and to come off with the right attitude and energy. I'm proud of what the guys did. We started the well and played it with the attitude we need to have in the playoffs.
- What exactly did you do to change the team's attitude towards opponents who are lower in the standings?
- It's difficult to give an exact answer. Working with the team is a daily process. We constantly work with our assistants to improve things—not just in terms of gameplay, but also in terms of mentality. At each practice, we strive to help the team take a step up. But I can't say right now what exact action made the guys so motivated against MBA-MAI.
- When will be Alen Hadzibegovic back in the game?
- As soon as our medical staff says he's fully recovered. Of course, we need him, and we want him back in action as soon as possible. But we can't risk Alen's health right before the most important part of the season. We need him 100% ready for the playoffs.
