The Lokomotiv Kuban guard had a good game against MBA-MAI (88:67) – 14 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals.
- Congrats on your victory. Comment on theme, please.
- A very energetic, emotional game. We started well, which isn't usually the case, but this time there was energy from the very first minutes, and everyone gave it their all in defense. We tried to stay focused and play smart, and we started to get good at quick transitions—our strong point. We often made steals and scored easy points.
- In the 3rd quarter, the opponent caused you some problems. What happened?
- We made a couple of bad shots and had some kind of bustle. They scored some easy points and gained confidence, started making tougher shots, and the game became more even. It often happens that after a good first half, the third quarter is worse. But we held on to the lead and finished the game good.
- Did you practice your dunk in the fourth quarter?
- Well... When we were playing in Astana last season, I made a couple of stealns in a row, and one time I decided I should try that dunk. But then I hit the front of the hoop. And this time I scored—that's a bit of progress. I'm happy with that dunk, but nothing special, I guess.
- After the away series, you finally returned home and saw and heard the fans. What do you want to say to them?
- A huge gratitude to our fans. You're clearly heard, both away and at home. It's especially captivating when everyone sings the anthem. Your support drives us forward, and even when our energy seems to be waning, it always comes back thanks to you. We're happy to see you at every game. Go Loko!
- On Sunday, Lokomotiv leaves for Moscow to play CSKA. You haven't beaten them yet this season. How will you prepare for them?
- Just like for all the other games. We'll analyze our opponents and train hard.
