The Lokomotiv Kuban guard answered journalists' questions after the victorious game against Yenisei (90:83), in which Martin scored 14 points.
- What can you say about the game?
- We knew it would be tough both physically and mentally. We knew we had to take our opponent seriously—they've found a good rhythm this part of the season. It's great that we showed character and came back from "–23" down. I'm proud of our team for their fight in the second half.
- How angry was the coach in the halftime?
- For sure, he was a bit angry, but his message was clear–he didn’t want us to lose this game.
- What was the key factor in turning the flow of the game?
- Our captain. In the 2nd half, Pat[rick Miller] put the team on his back and carried us forward. For me, that was the turning point–seeing what he started doing. He showed by example the level of play we need to perform at in the most important part of the season.
- Can you describe this game using only one word?
- Togetherness.
- Wanna say something else?
- Vince Hunter for the Defensive Player of the Year award! He should be at least in the top three. We were all disappointed not to see him on the list. Vince makes so many steals and fights for every ball so hard–he should be among the contenders for this award!
