Since the 2021/22 season, the Perm team has reached the VTB United League playoffs every year, but hasn’t win a single game at this stage. We previously met them in the quarterfinals twice: in the spring of 2022 and 2024, and two years ago, Loko won all three games decisively – the minimum margin of victory was “+27”. But now, BETCITY PARMA certainly looks much stronger.
Including the intra-season Winline Basket Cup, the teams have met 6 times this season. BETCITY PARMA won both WBC games (91:84 at home and 93:92 in Krasnodar), while in the championship, Loko has a 3-1 record (90:77, 85:93, 88:81, 95:88). We decided to calculate how the leading players of both teams performed in these 6 games.
BETCITY PARMA’s Terrell Carter stands out – he leads his team in scoring (16.7 points), has the highest efficiency (20.8 KPI), and averages 10.5 shots per game with a 63.5% accuracy rate (again, all statistics from here on are based on the 6 games between the teams this season). The American center has been forced out 4 times against Loko due to excessive fouls, but he also has the most fouls against in his team – 6.2 times. Also, Carter averages 5.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.8 blocks. His overall plus/minus against Lokomotiv this season is the lowest on the team (–21).
Another BETCITY PARMA center, Gleb Firsov, is also posting impressive numbers against Lokomotiv: 15.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1 steal, 1.2 blocks, and a 20.5 efficiency rating. If you only count the last three games, he’s up to 25.3 points and 9 rebounds. Unlike Carter, Firsov has a positive plus/minus (+19).
Brendan Adams missed 2 of the 6 games against Lokomotiv, but when he played, he always was among the team’s leaders: 11 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 8.5 assists in 33.5 minutes. The point guard takes 12.5 shots from the field, but only makes 26.1% of his two-pointers and 29.6% of his three-pointers (on nearly 7 attempts from afar per game). However, he makes free throws flawlessly (8 of 8). His efficiency rating (11.8 points) and box plus/minus (zero) are third on the team.
Another PARMA’s Adams, named Jalen, has played 5 games against Lokomotiv (all but the latest) and is in the top five among his teammates in all key stats: 9.8 points, 3 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 1.6 steals, 0.6 blocks, and an efficiency rating of 10.8. Like his namesake Brendan, Jalen has been making free throws against us without single miss (5 of 5).
Lev Svinin averages nearly 25 minutes per game with 9.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and an efficiency rating of 9.8. The 19-year-old forward’s shooting is impressive: 64.7% on two-pointers and 50% on three-pointers (3 long-range attempts per game).
All of the above, with the exception of Firsov, play 20+ minutes. Another 20+ player for BETCITY PARMA is Victor Sanders. In his 23 minutes per game, the shooting guard averages 8.5 points, 2.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.7 steals (the most on the team). Sanders is a 40% three-point shooter, but his box plus/minus (–20) is second-lowest among his teammates.
Center Alexander Shashkov has the highest three-point percentage on the Ural team (71.4% on 1.4 attempts per game). He also has by far the best plus/minus (+32), and his other key stats are quite impressive: 6.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.4 steals, 0.6 blocks, and an efficiency rating of 9.2.
Alexander Zakharov had a strong performance in his first game of the season against Lokomotiv, scoring 23 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. Overall, the forward’s stats for the season stand at 7.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, a 38.9% three-point percentage on 3 attempts per game, an efficiency rating of 6.2, and a plus/minus of –19.
BETCITY PARMA captain Stanislav Ilnitsky has been consistently productive: plus/minus +8, efficiency 6.7, 50% three-point shooting, 3.3 fouls, 3.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1 assist, 0.7 steals and 0.2 blocks in 17 minutes.
In the Lokomotiv Kuban’s roster, Patrick Miller has been the most effective against PARMA, with a KPI of 16.8. The captain has the most assists (7.8), steals (2), and is fouled 6.2 times per game, but his shot accuracy leaves much to be desired: 29.8% of his two-pointers and 23.1% of his three-pointers. So, Miller scores almost half of his points (4 of 10.2) from the free throw line.
Jeremiah Martin, who missed the start of the season due to injury and played only 4 games against the Urals team, is showing good efficiency (15.7 points, 3rd on the team). The guard scores his 15.8 points (a Lokomotiv-high) mostly from close range (10.5 two-pointers per game with 64.3% accuracy). From beyond the arc, he has only made one of 12 attempts. Martin‘s numbers in assists (5) and steals (1.8) are impressive. He is also one of only four Lokomotiv players with a negative plus/minus (–6).
Vince Hunter has the same plus/minus (–6). In 24 minutes per game, the center averages 12 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 2 steals, and 0.5 blocks, for a combined efficiency rating of 15.5. Hunter fouls the most (3.3), drawing 4.2 fouls per game. So far, he’s taken the most free throws on Lokomotiv, attempting 31 (22 made, with a 71% accuracy rate).
Mike Moore made the most three-point attempts on our team – 20 (with a 30% accuracy rate), and it only took him 4 games to achieve this. The American forward’s stats against BETCITY PARMA are 7.3 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 0.5 assists and steals each.
Kirill Temirov is the most effective attacker on the Perm hoop: he scores 83.3% of his two-point attempts, 52.6% of his three-point attempts, and 83.3% of his free throw attempts. The forward has twice achieved the 21 point mark against this opponent, making him the Kuban team’s top scorer this season, with 75 points combined (12.5 per game on average). Temirov‘s other stats include 2.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.3 steals, and an efficiency rating of 14.5.
Anton Kvitkovskikh is by far the most “plus” player in the matchup, with a +39 plus/minus. He’s the only player without a minus in any game (among those who played more than one). The forward’s efficiency rating of 11.2 comes from 10.2 points, 4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.8 steals, and a 43.8% three-point percentage.
The top two spots for average rebounds at Lokomotiv are held by players who have played just one game. While Daniil Kasko (6 rebounds) played his game against BETCITY PARMA back in November, before his loan to Avtodor, Alen Hadžibegovic (8 rebounds) has played recently. On April 19, the center also recorded 10 points, 2 assists, 2 steals, 1 block, and a plus/minus of +15. Alen will likely play a key role in the upcoming quarterfinal series.
Lokomotiv’s second-highest overall plus/minus at the moment is Ivan Samoylenko (+18). In 18.5 minutes per game, the guard is averaging 6.2 points (on 62.5% of his three-pointers—1.7 of 2.7 attempts), 1.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1 steal. While Ivan has only played in three games against Perm and missed the end of the regular season, his return could prove to be a significant factor.
Lokomotiv fans are hoping that Vsevolod Ishchenko will be the difference-maker. The 21-year-old guard is currently averaging 7.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.8 blocks (team-leading), as well as 62.3% two-point shooting, 33.3% three-point shooting, a plus-minus of +11, and an efficiency rating of 13. Before the playoffs began, it was announced that Ishchenko had declared for the NBA draft. It will be interesting to see how this will impact his play during the crucial stretch of the season.
On both April 27 and 29, the matches against BETCITY PARMA will start at 8:00 PM. Accordingly, the doors of the Basket Hall will open to spectators at 6:30 PM, and the arena show will begin at 7:30 PM.
See you in the stands! Go, Loko!
