The Lokomotiv Kuban center shared his thoughts and mood ahead of the start of the semifinal series with CSKA.
- How is the mood in the team right now?
- The mood is great. We are just staying focused for the first semi-finals game against CSKA. So yeah, we are ready.
- How many seven-game series have you played in your career?
- Actually, zero, so this is my first time to have that.
- What's the biggest playoff success in your career?
- In 2022, with Al Sadd, we beat Al Gharafa 2-1 in the finals of the Qatari league. Also, last year in the British League, we lost the semi-finals.
- In November, Avtodor lost to CSKA only 4 points, and you scored 24 points in that game. It was your first time in Russia with 20+ points. What else do you remember of that game?
- That was one of my first games of the season because I was injured and missed some games. But I like playing against strong teams. I mean I just love that.
- In March Loko was close to victory over CSKA in the Winline Basket Cup. What was not enough in that game?
- It was a one possession game. They scored, we missed, that’s it. We had an opportunity to go to overtime or actually win the game, but it's basketball.
- What should Loko do to finally start beating CSKA this season?
- We just gotta stay focused, and follow the plan that the coaching staff gave us, and play strong.
- What is one main thing in the playoffs?
- I'm gonna say two, focus and togetherness.
- A significant number of Loko fans will support the team in Moscow games. What can you say to them?
- Every support means a lot, it really helps us, especially on the road. So we are thankful that there will be our fans on Tuesday and on Thursday.
